Parenting Classes
Community Intervention & Educational Services (The COOL Program) offers Parenting Classes in Winston-Salem, North Carolina designed to help parents build healthy relationships with their children and create stable family environments.
Our parenting program focuses on teaching practical skills that strengthen communication, improve discipline strategies, and support children’s emotional and developmental needs.
These classes may be court-ordered, recommended by social services, or completed voluntarily by parents who want to strengthen their parenting skills.
What Participants Learn
Our Parenting Classes help participants develop tools for healthier family relationships and effective parenting.
Topics may include:
• Positive discipline techniques
• Age-appropriate expectations for children
• Healthy communication between parents and children
• Conflict resolution within families
• Stress and anger management for parents
• Building emotional connections with children
• Creating structure, stability, and healthy routines in the home
Participants gain practical strategies they can immediately apply to support their children’s well-being and development.
Program Structure & Fees
Our parenting program is designed to provide structured education and support over time.
Program Length: 15 sessions
Session Cost: $25 per session
Assessment Fee: $60
Participants must complete an initial assessment before beginning classes. The assessment helps determine the appropriate program placement and recommendations.
Assessments and classes are available in person and virtually to provide flexible participation options.
